Well, look no further! Radio Andaaz, Etobicoke & Mississauga Region provides
on-going training in Radio broadcasting. You can acquire skills ranging from
production to promotions to on-air hosting. Radio Andaaz is dedicated to
providing a volunteer program with a focus on news coverage, community
events and special projects.
Whether you are a high school student who would like to learn more about the
industry of Radio production, a college student who is looking for work
experience and career guidance in this field, or an adult who is interested
in being a part of a Radio production, we have something for everyone.
Previous Radio production experience is not necessary, but is certainly an
asset. As long as you are eager to learn about Radio production, we would
like to hear from you.

at Radio Andaaz?
Volunteer Agreement – Please read the following and check to verify that
you have read the information:
1. I understand that my participation is purely voluntary and that there
will be no financial remuneration whatsoever.
2. I understand while representing Radio Andaaz I must conduct myself in an
acceptable and professional manner, and failing to do so will lead to
immediate dismissal from volunteer service.
3. If accepted as a volunteer, I agree to abide by Radio Andaaz
Volunteers’ Rights and Procedures as outlined during the
orientation/interview process.

VOLUNTEERS’ RIGHTS
- The right to volunteer in a workplace environment free of harassment
- The right to be treated with dignity and respect
- The right to lodge a complaint
- The right to be heard
- The right to support and guidance from the Volunteer Coordinator
- The right to suitable volunteer placement and ongoing training
- The right to sound guidance and direction from supervisors and staff
members
- The right to earn promotion to assignments with more responsibility
and learn a variety of experiences
- The right to volunteer in a safe environment under the Health and
Safety guidelines of Radio Andaaz
Radio Andaaz’s EXPECTATIONS
- That volunteers perform duties as required to ensure professional
quality programming
- That volunteers work as part of a team providing support and
encouragement to other team members
- That volunteers represent Radio Andaaz in a professional and
appropriate manner
- That volunteers challenge themselves to achieve new skill levels,
honor all commitments and promises and complete all work assigned
- That volunteers adhere to the policies and procedures as outlined in
this manual and to Radio Andaaz’s policy regarding Respect and
Dignity in the workplace
- That volunteers learn and adhere to the Health and Safety guidelines
of Radio Andaaz
- To ask questions when unsure and to come into a production with a
positive attitude
- To be responsible for your own transportation to and from the studio
or mobile
AGE OF VOLUNTEERS
- No one under the age of 14 can volunteer at Radio Andaaz.
- People who are 14 or 15 years of age can volunteer at Radio Andaaz
but are limited to studio and office work.
- People who are 16 years and over can participate in all aspects of our
volunteer program.
